MyPBA is PBGC’s secure service that participants use to perform several transactions:
  • View or print your 1099-R tax form
  • Obtain a letter to verify the amount of money you receive from PBGC
  • Request electronic direct deposit or update your information

  • Request a benefit estimate and apply for benefits (future payees only)

Am I eligible to create a MyPBA login?
You can create a MyPBA login after you receive a letter informing you that PBGC has become trustee of your plan.

How to Create Your MyPBA Account?
Please contact PBGC’s Customer Contact Center at 1-800-400-7242, to create your MyPBA account. Our Customer Contact Center hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday Through Friday (except Federal holidays). TTY/ASCII users call the federal relay service at 1-800-877-8339 and ask to be connected to 1-800-400-7242.
How do I unlock a MyPBA login that I have not used in a few months?
MyPBA accounts that have not been used for several months will be deactivated. Our security measures require you to provide specific personal information before you can reactivate your account online. You can reactivate your account using your security questions. If you cannot remember the answers to your security questions, please call us to reactivate your account.
How can I help keep my information secure?
When you create your MyPBA login, choose a secure username, password, and secret question and answer. Although they should be easy for you to remember, make sure no one else knows them. You should never share your MyPBA login information with anyone else. MyPBA's security safeguards will automatically log you out after 15 minutes of inactivity, but you can help by closing your internet browser immediately after you log out of MyPBA.
